SMH Food @ Bedok Food City opens, with Guest of Honour, Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, together with Ms Jessica Tan, MP for East Coast GRC, and Ms Rachel Ong, MP for West Coast GRC.
"The passion in dim sum making is very much in our family blood. My siblings and myself, our lives would revolve around dim sum since young. I remembered growing up in coffee shop culture, running around and finding our own fun in our first dim sum factory. When our friends were playing play dough, we were playing real pau dough! We would eventually join SMH, learn different ropes, wear different hats, and work hand in hand, with the extended SMH Family, to build SMH to what is today.
Of course, the journey here isn’t a lonely one. We couldn’t have done it alone. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone of you here, for supporting us in one way or another, guiding us, partnering with us, growing with us. So thank you! And together, let’s make quality Singapore dim sum for the whole world to enjoy! "
